This work is made from layered Nishijin thread, drifting across the surface in a subtle gradient from bronze to gold to silver. Nishijin thread is a metallic thread with a silk core traditionally used in Japanese ceremonial textiles and is valued for its strength, precision, and reflective quality, allowing the surface to softly shift and glow as it catches the light.
